… which raises the question: ‘why not “Trump the Terrible [or Donald the Dreadful]?
I thought of Genghis Kahn which works in terms of ruthlessness and ambition. However, his acumen and ability to unite disparate peoples disqualifies him.
Hence, Trump the Terrible, after Ivan IV of Russia who, like Joffrey, was given to extreme cruelty, paranoia, violent outbursts and tyrannical governance. Joffrey, Ivan IV, Trump the Terrible.
Unfortunately, I don't think he needs a nickname. I think history will make his name synonymous with cruelty and evil, just like they did with the last guy who tried to rule the world.
On Vance - They revealed J.D. Vance is "obsessed by the fall of Western civilisation" and views hate speech laws as the problem—not, you know, actual fucking hatred or the real-world violence it sparks
You think Van Hollen's a fool, fair enough. I'll point out again that he's done more to try to free the innocent man from the foreign gulag than the Trump administration (despite being ordered by the Supreme Court to do so).
I oppose tariffs because they're bad for the economy, specifically working people. They're bad if they work and they're bad if they don't. I'm not pleased to find out that the President was wrong, because I knew that already, and I live in the economy he's tanking.
They weren't deported, George. They were imprisoned in a foreign country, with no idea how long they'll be there, without due process. And we're paying for it.
Issued 6 hours ago: "It is difficult in some cases to get to the very heart of the matter. But in this case, it is not hard at all," a three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit wrote.
