I did not protest yesterday.
All of my reasons feel like excuses, because the stakes have never felt higher.
Yesterday was important. I think it was the loudest call We The People (and really, the free world) have made for freedom in my lifetime. And since I wasn't out there with everyone, I decided to resist by recording as much as I freaking could, in a way that others could view, copy and take it wherever they wanna go from there.
For 7 hours I watched all of you, filled with this unquantifiable amount of patriotism, a consuming wonder of what it must feel like to be out there, if it caused such a stir to watch on a screen. I gathered sources detailing the events of June 14, 2025, creating a spreadsheet complete with source type, content, direct link, source owner's name, notes, and (when applicable) an image. The second sheet is the same information, transposed.
The TikTok videos could, perhaps, arguably be just anecdotal evidence only, but the rest are primary sources. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: Occasionally, an update would say something like “Posted 2 Hours ago” instead of the actual time, so I would look at the clock and just count backward. I am confident in every time stamp being with 60 minutes of the true posting, but some unfortunately could not be determined precisely.
The spreadsheet contains:
51 Bluesky Posts, timestamped
22 News Articles from 5 Publications
2 Quotes from Trump via his website
6 Substack Posts, timestamped
27 TikTok Videos
A range of media types felt the most useful, with damn near 80% being city after city after city engaging in the protest. I couldn't help but be stunned at the display of patriotism, drowning out the vanity version we all saw later in the day. I wanted to collect it; the literal sea to shining sea of it, the diversity of the crowd, the kindness and solidarity throughout.
I have no idea what this will be used for, now or in the future… it just felt important for some reason. If I had to describe my lil niche, at it stands now, it's something like I make civic content for creators and citizens. I give it freely to the world, and I hope that you make your own stuff with it.
Whether it’s a report, a video, or a new opinion: You can be assured you're taking in, and passing along, facts.
