Why This Page Exists
I’m Brie McReynolds — the writer, researcher, and voice behind The Brie-fing, an independent political publication fueled by clarity, emotional honesty, and verifiable facts. I started this project because the truth was getting buried under performance, euphemism, and denial — and I couldn’t find a voice that sounded like mine.
So I became it.
What began as a passion project has grown into something bigger — a resource for thousands of readers who are disillusioned, discerning, and still hungry for something real. If you’re one of them, I’m asking you to help me keep it going.
The Situation
The Brie-fing is a one-woman operation. Every post you see — from research to writing to design — is produced by me, often on nights and weekends after my day job as a clerical worker.
But this is the dream.
Not a side hustle. Not a hobby. A dream to work directly for the people.
I believe I’ve built a unique set of skills — deep research, political analysis, emotional intelligence, pattern recognition, and the ability to tell the truth plainly — and I want to use those skills full-time, for public benefit.
That’s what I’m asking for support to do.

Time to Write and Research: Hours each week spent connecting dots, citing sources, and crafting original analysis — not just regurgitating headlines.
Platform & Tools: Hosting, Substack fees, storage, backups, design software, etc.
Projects: Like the Trump 2.0 Archive Journal — which requires intense legal and political monitoring, plus heavy documentation.
Sustainability: Basic costs of living so I can spend more time building this into a full-time public resource — not just a side gig I’m squeezing into exhaustion.
